The amounts above are reserved when requests are accepted. Failed work releases its reservation; Contact Enrichment has additional release cases. GET requests, including polling, do not add a credit charge.

What is a ProfileOut credit?
A credit is the shared usage unit for all four ProfileOut APIs. Your plan provides an allowance; accepted requests reserve credits, which are then charged or released according to the API’s billing rules.
Is the Developer plan a recurring free plan?
Yes. The Developer plan includes 100 free credits every month for development and evaluation. Credits reset monthly based on your signup date, and unused credits do not roll over.
When do monthly credits reset?
Monthly credits reset at the start of each billing cycle, based on signup for the free plan or the billing start date for paid plans, not the first day of the calendar month.
Do unused monthly credits roll over?
No. Unused monthly credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next cycle.
How do annual plans work?
Annual Starter, Growth, and Scale plans are prepaid for 12 months at a 15% discount. All 12 months of credits are provided upfront and remain available throughout the term. Unused credits expire without rollover, and the plan renews automatically every 12 months unless cancelled.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Renew your current paid plan early, upgrade, or contact ProfileOut for more credits. Credit packs, automatic top-ups, and postpaid overage are not offered.
Do different APIs use different numbers of credits?
Yes. People Data reserves 10 credits per request, Profile Parsing 2 per file upload, Contact Enrichment 15 per request, and AI People Search 1 per message. Final charges follow the settlement rules above.
Are failed requests charged?
Requests rejected before acceptance do not reserve credits. Failed work releases its reservation. A timeout or lost response does not prove that a request was rejected; check its status before submitting it again.
Are repeated requests charged?
ProfileOut’s internal retries do not double-charge the same operation. A new accepted POST, re-upload, or AI message reserves credits separately and may incur another charge. Use GET to read or poll an existing result without an additional credit charge.
How is Contact Enrichment billed when no usable contact is found?
Contact Enrichment reserves 15 credits per accepted request, not per email or phone. A completed result with no contacts can still be charged, while some completed requests release the reservation. Contact count and result status alone do not determine the charge.
How is AI People Search usage calculated?
AI People Search reserves 1 credit for each accepted message, including follow-ups. The credit is charged when that revision completes successfully and released if it fails. There is no per-candidate fee.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your current paid plan remains active through the end of its existing billing period.
Are payments refundable?
Subscription payments and unused credits are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or where ProfileOut grants an exception.
Are taxes included in the listed prices?
Listed prices exclude applicable taxes. Taxes are added where required based on your billing location and applicable law.
Do you offer higher-volume or custom pricing?
Yes. Contact Sales for higher-volume credit commitments, custom rate limits, dedicated support, procurement requirements, or other commercial needs.
